Paolo Salvatori is a seasoned IT professional with over 31 years of experience in infrastructure and application design. Currently, he is a Lead Software Engineer at LocalStack, where he defines the technical vision and roadmap for the Azure local emulator while actively leading and participating in its core development.

Paolo has a distinguished track record of 28 years at Microsoft (1997–2025), serving as Principal System Engineer and Principal Program Manager. During his tenure, he architected mission-critical solutions for global strategic customers, specializing in Azure, Kubernetes, microservices, and serverless architectures.

He is a widely recognized figure in the technical community:

  • Author: Prolific contributor to official Azure documentation and Azure Architecture Center.

  • Open Source: Creator of the Service Bus Explorer, a tool used globally for managing Azure Service Bus.
